Thirty seven years ago, we began as a small vocational college offering academic upgrading in one community. Today, we serve 30 communities in north central Alberta offering a wide range of programs to both full-time and part-time learners. We've recently expanded our program selection to include trades training in carpentry, electrical, welding and crane and hoisting equipment operator (boom truck). 

We take pride in delivering quality learning and ensuring our graduates are successful. Small class sizes, professional instructors and affordable tuition are important ingredients to our success. Distance learning is a key delivery tool used by the College reaching 30 rural communities as far north as High Level. Our students get jobs - over 95% of our graduating students obtain employment!

Northern Lakes College is involved in various partnerships and we welcome the opportunity to form new partnerships - give us a call! Our partnerships are diverse and include small businesses, corporations from oil and gas industry, band and settlement offices, community groups, municipalities, and government agencies. We are committed to making opportunities happen through innovative training.
