On October 19th staff at Northern Lakes College were honoured at the long service awards night in Slave Lake. 38 employees celebrated long service with the College totaling 500 years of dedicated service. Staff are recognized for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and even 40 years of service. In addition to the long service, the event recognizes retirees.
The long service awards celebration is one way the Board of Governors pays tribute to the staff at the College recognizing their hard work and dedication to students and the organization. Board Chair Daniel Vandermeulen was honoured to speak about long time employee Shirley Anderson who was celebrating 40 years of employment with the College “Shirley loves what she does and thoroughly enjoys working with our students”.

We succeed because of our staff. I extend a heartfelt thank you to all our employees celebrating long service who are passionate about their profession and dedicated to providing quality service to our students.”
