Northern Lakes College Celebrates 425 Years of Employee Service

Northern Lakes College celebrated long-serving employees and retirees at the College’s annual Long Service Awards in Slave Lake on October 23. The evening celebrated a total of 425 years of combined service between all recipients. The evening is an opportunity to express appreciation and recognition to long-serving employees whose dedication and hard work contribute to the success of College students. Thirty-four employees were celebrated for service awards. The Board of Governors, President, family members, and co-workers spent an enjoyable evening celebrating the long service recipients and retirees.
Northern Lakes College acknowledges service in five-year increments, giving special recognition for twenty years of service and more. This event highlighted the individual career accomplishments of the 20-year and 30-year service recipients, along with retirees in attendance. Anecdotes and stories illustrated the dedicated service, career accomplishments, commitment, and enthusiasm of each employee.

Northern Lakes College (NLC), located in northern Alberta, provides quality programs through distributed learning to over 6,000 students annually. NLC offers certificate and diploma programs in Business, Health Sciences and Allied Health, Human Services, Technology, Trades, University Studies, and Academic Upgrading.
