What is Dual Credit?

Dual Credit courses and programs let grade 10, 11, and 12 students earn both high school credits and credits toward a post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree through approved courses. When high school students take courses through Northern Lakes College, you are considered both a high school and a Northern Lakes College student. That means the course will appear on the student’s high school transcript and a post-secondary transcript.

As a Dual Credit student at Northern Lakes College, you can enroll in individual courses or complete an entire certificate in Business Administration, Computer Network Specialist, Office Administration, Educational Assistant, Early Learning and Childcare , Health Care AidePower Engineering, Introduction to Surveying, and Pre-Employment programs.
