Course Description

This course builds on the inquiry skills learned in BEL 101 Science. It exposes students to basic concepts in life, physical, and earth sciences, but a larger proportion of time will be spent on life science. The five units of study are Interactions and Ecosystems, Plants for Food and Fiber, Heat and Temperature, Structures and Forces, and Planet Earth. Students will continue to develop their skills of inquiry and problem solving through hands-on activities and application of concepts to real life contexts. They will also develop positive attitudes toward the study of science and the application of science in responsible ways.
