Program Description

Continuing to build upon the concepts developed at the certificate level, the Business Administration Diploma in Accounting gives students the opportunity to concentrate in accounting systems and procedures. Students will acquire a highly sought-after accounting specialization in addition to the broad range of knowledge and skills required to function in supervisory roles.
Expertise obtained will allow students to begin a career as a professional in the accounting field.

Program Delivery

The program is delivered by NLC Anytime, Anywhere with occasional live online classes. Recorded lessons enable students to review the classes at a later time. This technology is Internet-based, and students can access their courses from a variety of approved locations. High speed internet access is required . The program uses software and applications compatible with a Windows environment.The program operates in a Windows environment w=using Microsoft software applications.

Academic Requirements

Must have a Northern Lakes College Business Administration Certificate (30 credits) or equivalent. Students enrolled in Business Administration Year 1 may take courses from year 2 providing they have the prerequisites for those courses.


Athabasca University: 60 credits toward 4 yr BCom (Post Diploma), with or without Major
Athabasca University: 60 credits toward 3 or 4 yr BMgmt (Post Diploma), with or without major.
Grant MacEwan University: Graduates will be considered for entrance into Year 3 of the BComm (Management major).
University of Lethbridge: Graduates may be admitted to 20 course (60 credit hours) Post-Diploma BMgt.
