Course Description

This foundations course introduces students to the general field of human resource management (HRM) and its major sub-disciplines, including: recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, compensation, employee relations, labour relations, and employment law. Emphasis is placed on how these sub-disciplines help achieve organizational strategy. Professional development in the HRM field is also introduced.
