Larry Cote

Mr. Cote has an Honors diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology and is a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET). He worked for 30 years in the steel industry in a variety of positions including Lubricant Analyst, Quality Improvement project manager, Senior Reliability Specialist and Team Leader of the Predictive Technical Services department. In 2007 he joined the Canadian Institute for Non-destructive Evaluation (CINDE) and stepped down as President / CEO in July 2016. Larry is a past Chairman of several technical societies and started his teaching career in 1991 as an Instructor for Mohawk College. He has been an instructor for Northern Lakes College since 2006 and enjoys the interactive online delivery of PEMAC MMP Modules 1 and 5.

Based on the course text, Uptime, Module 1 develops the framework for thinking about a strategic approach to maintenance management that is integrated with the business. Drawing on the elements presented in the "Maintenance Excellence Pyramid" of Uptime, participants in Module 1 will learn how strategy, people, basic care, materials management, performance management, work management, support systems, and tools such as RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) can work together to build a culture of excellence.

Withdrawals and Refunds

 An administrative fee of $50 will be charged for all cancelled or transferred registrations.  There are no refunds for materials/shipping.  Less than 7 days before the module starts, a partial refund of 75% of the tuition fee is granted if the withdrawal of the registration is received: Module 1 - immediately after the 1st class. No refunds given after 1st class. Modules 2-8 - immediately after the 2nd class. No refunds given after 2nd class.


Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee payment
