Course Description

Written hazard assessments are required under provincial legislation. This 12 hour course will help you discover what you need to comply with legislation and how you can make your work-site safer through understanding the scope of hazards and hazard control methods.

 Discuss OH&S legislation regarding hazard identification and assessment
 Understand types of hazards in the workplace
 Use practical techniques to identify hazards and suggest controls
 Understand basic principles of occupational hygiene
 Evaluate risks and select effective controls

1. The "Achievement in Business Competencies" (Blue Seal) program through the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Department.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Safety and Driver Training Courses:  Your registration will be fully refunded when notice of withdrawal is given two (2) working days before the course start date.  When notification is received less than two (2) full working days before the course start date no refund will be issued.  If you are unable to attend your course, you may arrange for someone to take your place by contacting Continuing Education & Corporate Training at work@northernlakescollege.ca or 780-849-8623.

Cancellation

Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee Payment

Fee Payment: Fees are due at the time of registration. Northern Lakes College accepts cash, cheque, money order, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express. Invoicing to a company requires a Purchase Order (PO).
