Course Description

This course is offered as part of the Class 1 and Class 3 driver training program.

Important information about this course:
 Course starts promptly at the start time stated. Students who are late may be refused admission.
 You may be required to stay longer than the stated end time for the Air Brakes course in order to complete the practical exam.
 Appropriate clothing is required (i.e. jeans, pants, proper footwear such as running shoes, outdoor clothing for the weather). You will be required to do practical exercises during this course outside.
 Fees do not include license upgrade or road test costs which are payable to the Registry Office where you take the tests.
 Each student is scheduled for a maximum of 24 hours of driver instruction for Class 1 and for a maximum of 15 hours of driver instruction for Class 3.
 You are responsible to attend the scheduled driving time.
 Please be advised that participants who are unable to perform the required exercises will not pass the course. (Eg. Employees who are on Worker's Compensation on light duty.)
 Provide your Alberta Driver's License

Pre-requisites:
 Valid non-GDL (graduated driver's license) Class 5 license
 Be 18 years of age
 Supply a driver's abstract with no more than 7 demerit points
 For Class 1 training, you must obtain a medical certificate from doctor. The fees to obtain this are not included in cost of the course.
 Successfully complete the Class 1 written test one week before the Class 1 road test.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Your registration will be fully refunded when notice of withdrawal is given two (2) working days before the course start date. When notification is received less than two (2) full working days before the course start date an invoice will be issued for full payment of the course. When you are unable to attend your course, you may arrange for someone to take your place by Contacting Continuing Education & Corporate Training at work@northernlakescollege.ca or 780-849-8623..

Cancellation

Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee Payment

Fee Payment: Fees are due at the time of registration. Northern Lakes College accepts cash, cheque, money order, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express. Invoicing to a company requires a Purchase Order (PO).
