Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team management of a cardiac arrest, team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. Specific skills in airway management and related pharmacology are also featured. Skills are taught through discussion and group learning, while testing stations offer case-based scenarios using simulators.
ACLS is designed for health-care professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements. It is highly recommended that only those who will use the skills of ACLS within their scope of practice take the ACLS course.
Pre-Requisite/Needed for this Course:
1. A current Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) Basic Life Saver (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (C) card (current within 12 months at time of course).

Important information about this course:
Course starts promptly at the start time stated. Students who are late may be refused admission.
Appropriate clothing is required (i.e. jeans, pants, proper footwear such as running shoes). You will be required to do practical exercises during this course.
Please be advised that participants who are unable to perform the required exercises will not pass the course. (Eg. Employees who are on Worker's Compensation on light duty.)
Please have photo ID available upon request for exam/temporary certification purposes. Instructors for any Enform courses are required to visually confirm your photo ID and if they cannot confirm your identity you may not be certified for the course.
