This is the Alberta Safety Councils ATV Rider Course, which exposes the trainee to the safe operation of an all-terrain vehicle. Upon successful completion, you will be certified as an ATV rider by the Alberta Safety Council, which is a requirement of many employers in both the forest and petroleum industries.

Important Information about this course: You need to provide your own ATV for the course. Course starts promptly at the start time stated. Students who are late may be refused admission.

Appropriate clothing is required (i.e. jeans, pants, proper footwear such as running shoes). You will be required to do practical exercises during this course.Employers are advised not to send injured employees who are unable to perform the required exercises to pass the course, e.g. employees on Workers' Compensation or on light duty.

You need to provide your own ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) and it has to be registered and insured.
Appropriate safety equipment & clothing is required (i.e. helmet, jeans, pants, proper footwear, outdoor gear, gloves). You will be required to do practical exercises during this course and they will be conducted outside.
Course starts promptly at the start time stated. Students who are late may be refused admission.
Please be advised that participants who are unable to perform the required exercises will not pass the course. (Eg. Employees who are on Worker's Compensation on light duty.)
Please have picture ID available upon request for exam purposes.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Your registration will be fully refunded when notice of withdrawal is given two (2) working days before the course start date. When notification is received less than two (2) full working days before the course start date an invoice will be issued for full payment of the course. When you are unable to attend your course, you may arrange for someone to take your place by Contacting Continuing Education & Corporate Training at work@northernlakescollege.ca or 780-849-8623..

Cancellation

Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee payment

Fees are due at the time of registration. Northern Lakes College accepts cash, cheque, money order, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express. Invoicing to a company requires a Purchase Order (PO).
