Woodland Stewardship and Introduction to Forest Management

Course Description

This course is designed for a wide range of people with an interest in the forestry sector and to introduce the key elements of forest management in Alberta. You won't need a background in forest management to understand the concepts that are presented. People who are working in the industry and understand many of the operational controls will benefit by seeing the broader framework under which forests in Alberta are managed.

This course is one of six courses in the Forest Stewardship Certificate and is delivered in partnership with Northern Lakes College and Woodland Operations Learning Foundation (WOLF https://www.w-o-l-f.ca/ )

Register for all 6 courses to complete the Forest Stewardship Certificate, or register for the individual courses that interest you.

In order to successfully complete this course you must receive a minimum grade of 70% on any quizzes, and fulfill instructor determined participation requirements.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Certificate Program Courses:  Your registration will be fully refunded when notice of withdrawal is given seven (7) days before the course start date.  Less than seven (7) days before the course start date, no refund will be issued.  When you are unable to attend your course, you may arrange for someone to take your place by contacting Continuing Education & Corporate Training at work@northernlakescollege.ca or 780-849-8623.

Cancellation

Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee Payment

Fee Payment: Fees are due at the time of registration. Northern Lakes College accepts cash, cheque, money order, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express. Invoicing to a company requires a Purchase Order (PO).
