Course Description

This course provides practical ideas to contractors, equipment operators, and field supervisors, so that together, they can minimize damage to forest soils during forest operations. The opportunity to protect forest soil occurs at each step of the forest-management process, from harvest planning; to field layout; to harvesting and reforestation activities.

This course is one of six courses in the Forest Stewardship Certificate and is delivered in partnership with Northern Lakes College and Woodland Operations Learning Foundation (WOLF https://www.w-o-l-f.ca/ )

Register for all 6 courses to complete the Forest Stewardship Certificate, or register for the individual courses that interest you.

In order to successfully complete this course, you must receive a minimum grade of 70% on any quizzes, and fulfill instructor determined participation requirements.

Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.
