NEW! Drone Skills Session: Learn and fly with an Expert


Course Description

Learn to fly an unmanned aircraft in a safe, indoor environment. Whether it's your first flight or you have some time on the sticks, training with a seasoned instructor will give you the skills and confidence to fly safely for fun or work!

You will be given a one-hour lesson with the instructor. There will be a maximum of 2 students booked for each timeslot available.

Please note:
 There are 8 timeslots available:
o 8:30 am - 9:30 am
o 9:30 am - 10:30 am
o 10:30 am - 11:30 am
o 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
o 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
o 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
o 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
o 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
 Drones (UAVs) will be provided for the flying lesson.

This course is in partnership with and facilitated by Aerobotika Aerial Intelligence Ltd.
Aerobotika Aerial Intelligence is an enablement organization, supporting prospective and current unmanned aircraft pilots to fly safely in Canadian airspace. Aerobotika's training was the first in Canada to be designed around the Transport Canada requirements.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Tuition will be fully refunded when notice of withdrawal is given 7 days before the course start date. If you are unable to attend your course, you may arrange for someone to take your place by contacting Continuing Education & Corporate Training at or 780-849-8623


Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee Payment

Fee Payment: Fees are due at the time of registration. Northern Lakes College accepts cash, cheque, money order, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express. Invoicing to a company requires a Purchase Order (PO).
