Rachel Cripps, Museum Director

Rachel Cripps has been managing the Native Cultural Arts Museum in Grouard for over five years. Before joining us at the College, she completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field Anthropology, while working for Parks Canada Archeological Services Branch, and Aboriginal Affairs in Ottawa. Through her work as an Anthropologist, she has completed archaeological digs in Belize and Buxton Ontario, and has taught as a sessional instructor. In her time at the College, Rachel has helped the Museum to achieve the provincial designation of a Recognized Museum, a status that is awarded for maintaining standards of professional Museum practices, and has also managed the relocation of the Museum gallery and collection.

In this session, Rachel Cripps, Northern Lakes College (NLC) Museum Director, will talk about the types of indigenous artworks that are found at the Native Cultural Arts Museum in Grouard. She will also describe the history of the founding of Grouard and the St. Bernard Mission.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Safety and Driver Training Courses:  Your registration will be fully refunded when notice of withdrawal is given two (2) working days before the course start date.  When notification is received less than two (2) full working days before the course start date no refund will be issued.  If you are unable to attend your course, you may arrange for someone to take your place by contacting Continuing Education & Corporate Training at work@northernlakescollege.ca or 780-849-8623.

Cancellation

Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee payment

Fees are due at the time of registration. Northern Lakes College accepts cash, cheque, money order, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express. Invoicing to a company requires a Purchase Order (PO).
