Course Description

The EMT Foundations II course provides the student with the skills to practice in the pre-hospital care setting. EMT Foundations II includes theory and laboratory practice, with a strong emphasis on reviewing the skills and knowledge learned in Foundations I. Students will be introduced to medication administration and pharmacology, emergency care for medical conditions, care for the mental health client, care of the obstetrical client, management of childbirth, care for special populations and MCI and triage.
