Academic Requirements

Fluency in English: Credit in English 30-1 or 60% in English 30-2, or credit in ENGL0190.
Applicants without the requirements will be considered if they satisfactorily complete an ACCUPLACER assessment.

Other Requirements

Pre-Program Considerations:
Practicum agencies may require an up-to-date Police Information Check (Vulnerable Sector) and an Alberta Children's Services Intervention Record Check of students placed in their organizations. The inability to present clear checks means a student may not be able to complete the program requirements. Students are required to sign and submit a Police Information Check Declaration of Understanding form prior to the first day of classes. Contact the Program Chair for further information.

Students may transfer into Northern Lakes College's Early Learning and Child Care Diploma Program.
