Course Description

This course is designed to survey the major theories of development and allow students the opportunity to discover and learn about the role these theories play in helping to explain human behaviour and development. Topics will include research methods, theories of development and major theorists, prenatal development, development of infants, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, and current issues and controversies in the field of developmental psychology.
