Learning and Development in Childhood


Course Description

This course provides an overview of major child development theories and the application of these theories to educational settings. Students will discover, and reflect on, the history, the methodology and the content of these theoretical perspectives. With a focus on children's learning and development from ages 0-12 years, students will apply concepts to a variety of diverse settings and groups to gain understanding of ways to support children's holistic educational development. Students may not receive credit for both EDPY 2302 and EDPY 2000.
