If you’re stuck, please ask for help. Talk to your Access Facilitators or Educational Support. If they are unavailable or you require additional help, you can call the Alberta Supports Contact Centre at 1-877-644-9992.

STEP 5: Submit the signed Declaration to your campus

+

If this does not show up right away once you submit your application, you will need to log out and log back in. The Declaration can be found when you click on “My Applications” and look under “Submitted Applications” to the far right. Make sure you are clicking on the most recent application Declaration!

This is the same area you can find and print your Application and Next Steps, for your records.

If you want to receive direct deposit, you can find the Direct Deposit Registration for Learners form here. This will have to be included with your Declaration. If you bank online, you can also print a Direct Deposit Form from your banking portal.

STEP 6: Receive confirmation email from NLC

+

You will receive an email (to the one you provided when you applied to the program) confirming that your Declaration was received, a Training Provider Form was attached, and that all documents were sent to the Learner Income Support Office by courier for review and processing.

If no email was provided, a letter with the same information will be sent to the mailing address you provided to the college. Please contact your campus if you do not receive this note within 2 weeks of dropping off your Declaration.

Step 7: Receive a Funding Decision Letter from the Learner Income Support Office (LISO)

+

You will be contacted by mail in 6-8 weeks about your application once you receive notice the Declaration and Training Provider Form were sent. If you have questions after submitting your application, call the Learner Income Support Contact Centre at 1-800-222-6485 (toll-free) or 780-427-3722 (Edmonton).
