HOW TO GUIDE:

Applying for Alberta Works Learner Income Support Sponsorship.

STEP 3: Create a SIAMS Account

Follow the directions on the screen to create a SIAMS account

*You will need to know your e-mail address to complete this step.

*If you have previously set up a SIAMS account, but don’t remember your password, use the Reset Password option on the screen.

STEP 4: Login and complete your application

*Make sure to select the correct application form!

  • Full-time: ‘Learner Income Support (full-time)
  • Part-time: Skills Investment Bursary (part-time)

If you’re stuck, please ask for help. If you aren’t able to get ahold of an NLC staff for general questions, or if you require additional help, you can call the Alberta Supports Contact Centre at 1-877-644-9992.

STEP 5: Submit the signed Declaration to the campus

*If these don’t show up right away once you submit your application, you will need to log out and log back in.

STEP 6: Receive confirmation letter from NLC

This letter will confirm that your declaration was received, a Trainer Provider Form was attached, and that all documents were sent to the Learner Income Support Office for review and processing by courier.

Step 7: Receive a Funding Decision Letter from the Learner Income Support Office (LISO)

You will be contacted by mail in 6 to 8 weeks about your application. If you have questions after submitting your application, call the Learner Income Support Contact Centre at 1-800-222-6485 (toll-free) or 780-427-3722 (Edmonton).
