Groundsworker (2) positions
Wage: $13.60 to $15.00 per hour
June 1, 2018 to August 31, 2018
- Funded by Rupertsland Institute;
- Metis Youth Summer Employment Program;
- Must be a Metis Youth (ages 15-30);
- Must be commencing full time studies in the Fall of 2018;
- Must be available for full-time summer employment.
- Grass cutting using both riding lawn mower and push mower;
- Trimming trees and shrubs and gardens;
- Building maintenance and painting;
- Assisting with other duties as required.

Major Job Function:
Reports to the Senior Director of Facilities and Ancillary Services and is responsible for assisting with day-to-day maintenance of college facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties will include grass cutting, with both, push and riding lawn mowers;
Trimming trees and shrubs and garden planting;
Cleaning debris from the grounds;
Building maintenance and painting;
Assisting staff members with other duties as required.
Skills and Knowledge:
Must be physically able to perform grounds and maintenance work;
Well-organized, friendly and approachable;
Able to take direction;
Pay attention to detail, understand the importance of accuracy;
Possess good oral and written communication skills;
Possess good work ethic and be willing to perform a variety of tasks.
