Postal Strike

As of 4:30 PM on September 25, 2025, Canada Post has officially ceased accepting and delivering mail and packages due to a nationwide postal strike. This disruption affects all incoming and outgoing mail services across the country. What This Means for You Northern Lakes College recognizes the potential impact this may have on our internal operations and communications with external stakeholders, including students, vendors, and community partners. To ensure continuity of service and minimize disruptions, the College has implemented alternative delivery methods: Recommended Best Practices • Use external courier services (e.g., Purolator, FedEx, UPS) for time-sensitive shipments. • Email and digital delivery: Scan and send documents electronically whenever possible. • Hand delivery: In cases where digital or courier options are not feasible, consider personally delivering documents or packages. • Internal communication: Use internal digital platforms and shared drives to distribute materials across departments.
