University Studies
Students pursuing university career paths or Northern Lakes College programs choose to enrol in University Studies courses for several reasons, such as:
- Completing electives that could help them earn a certificate, diploma, or degree at another post-secondary institution or at Northern Lakes College.
- Lowering the workload of courses while they wait for approval to be admitted in Northern Lakes College programs (see the list above) or other post-secondary programs.
- Completing non-educational courses towards the University of Calgary Community-Based Bachelor of Education (BEd).
Delivery Methods
College and Career Preparation and University Studies are delivered via Supported Distance Learning. University Studies is also available to High School students through the Dual Credit Program. For more information about Northern Lakes College delivery methods, see below.
Note: For students who would like to take course from two programs (e.g., University Studies and BEd at UCalgary), they must apply to both programs.
