Driven to Succeed: Class 7 & 5 Support Reimbursement Initiative

Driven to Succeed: Class 7 & 5 Support Reimbursement Initiative
The Fox Creek CEC is sponsoring a reimbursement initiative to community members and students if they successfully pass their Class 7 and/or Class 5 Driver’s test and license. Receipt required for reimbursement.
The initiative will run from October 2025 to April 2026, or until the allocated funds have been fully used—whichever comes first.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Residency: Applicants must be residents of Fox Creek.
- Proof of Completion: A temporary or permanent copy of the license is required.
- Proof of Payment: A receipt or other valid documentation showing payment for the test(s).
- Coverage: Residents may be reimbursed for both the written (Class 7) and road (Class 5) tests within the same academic year.

Fox Creek Community Education Committee (CEC) Awards
Available to Northern Lakes College students attending the Fox Creek Campus
The Fox Creek CEC is proud to support student success through a variety of awards:
- High Achievement Award- $50 awarded to any student who achieves an average of 80% or higher in their program for each semester of enrollment.
- Completion Award- $50 awarded to students who successfully complete each semester in which they are registered.
- Recruitment Award- $50 awarded to a student who successfully recruits another individual to enroll at the NLC Fox Creek Campus. The recruited student must complete at least one course.
- Travel Practicum Award- $150 per student, per semester. Students must apply in advance and provide confirmation from their practicum instructor that the placement is outside their designated service area.
- Convocation Award- $100 awarded to graduating students who attend the convocation ceremony in Slave Lake. Attendance is required to receive this award.
Eligibility: Awards are available to students enrolled at the Fox Creek Campus of Northern Lakes College only.

Early Learning and Child Care Program Bursary

Early Learning and Child Care Program Bursary
The Fox Creek CEC is sponsoring a $200 bursary to students registered in the ELCC & ELCD program for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Students will be automatically selected at the end of the academic year in May, provided they have successfully completed all courses in the semester(s) in which they were enrolled.
