ATHABASCA CEC

The Northern Lakes College Athabasca Community Education Committee is offering a full reimbursement for students who successfully pass their Class 5 or Class 7 Drivers License before May 15, 2023.

The CEC is giving a variety of monthly, semester, and end of year awards to NLC Athabasca students.

MONTHLY AWARDS
$30 PER MONTH
Academic Upgrading Students with attendance of 90% or better will receive $30.00 per month until June 30, 2023.

SEMESTER AWARDS
$100 PER SEMESTER
One $100 award is given each semester to the student with the highest marks in both Academic Upgrading and Post-Secondary programs.

END OF THE YEAR AWARDS
$250 PER YEAR
One $250 award for any Athabasca student graduating from Academic Upgrading or a Post-Secondary program in the 2022-2023 Academic Year.

Eligible students for End of Year Awards must have attended for the entire academic year.
Submit applications to the Student Learning Assistant at the end of each term.

CADOTTE LAKE CEC

Let the NLC Cadotte Lake Community Education Committee (CEC) sponsor your next Continuing Education course!

Residents of Cadotte Lake, Little Buffalo, and surrounding communities can register for any Continuing Education Course FREE of charge*.

*Applicants must confirm their registration with Louise Alm, SLA/CALP coordinator at NLC Cadotte Lake Campus. Courses must be completed by May 15, 2023. A maximum of $150.00 per person will be reimbursed after the course is successfully completed.

Awarded to each student who successfully completes their courses for Term 1 and Term 2.

DRIFTPILE CEC

Suicide Prevention Professional Development Training

February 8, 9, & 10, 2023
8:30am - 4:30pm at the Mihtatakaw Sipiy School Driftpile Cree Nation
Lunch Provided.

NLC Driftpile CEC is hosting 3 different suicide prevention professional development training workshops. With a welcome partnership with DCN Maggie Willier Wellness Healing Centre, and DCN Mihtatakaw Sipiy School, to support staff interacting with children, youth, and adults.

Facilitators are from the Centre for Suicide Prevention Calgary. An organization that has been in operation for 40 years.

When courses are full, a wait-list will be created for another session to run in 2023.

High Level CEC is providing $200 awards to any student who recruits another student. The new students must successfully complete a semester. Open to High Level students in any program area.
