It introduces students to the concept of worldviews, from the personal to historical to national. There is a focus on critical thinking about Canadian and western worldviews using the historical perspectives of Ancient Greece/Rome, the Middle Ages, and the Renaissance. Students will explore Canada's evolving worldview through Canadian history. A First Nations and ethnic-specific focus is woven throughout the course to illustrate diversity and to achieve an understanding and awareness of a variety of perspectives.
