Advanced Practice (Ambulance)

Course Description

The Advanced Ambulance Practicum provides opportunity for students to apply all skills and concepts learned throughout the ACP program and will be their final practicum course before graduating as entry level ACP practitioners. Students will provide safe quality care within their scope of practice while being directly supervised by an experienced ACP. Students will follow their preceptor's assigned rotation for a minimum of 500 hours on ambulance. In addition, students will complete a minimum of 100 hours with an ACP on a fixed wing flight service or with an ACP working in a community or clinic based setting. Students should prepare for travel for Paramedic Practicum-Advanced Ambulance. All costs and arrangements related to travel and accommodation for program practicums are the students's responsibility.
