Course Description

During the hospital practicum, students will provide safe quality care within the full scope of practice for entry level Advanced Care Paramedics, including endotracheal intubation and advanced airway management, advanced cardiac life support In addition if opportunities present students will provide care in the ACP scope of practice in providing obstetrical care, including delivery and management of the neonatal patient; care of the pediatric patient and the critical care patient. Students will be supervised by Advanced Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses or Physicians throughout their Hospital Practicum. Students must be prepared for travel to participate in Hospital-Practicum. All costs and arrangements related to travel and accommodation for program practicums are the students's responsibility.
