Course Description

This course will review the role of the Advanced Care Paramedic in Emergency Medical Services in the Canadian health system, reviewing the foundations of the profession, personal wellness and the care of the trauma patient. Skills taught include needle decompression, intraosseous insertion, and introduction to advanced airway management. Upon conclusion of this course, the student will be certified in International Trauma Life Support.
