Course Description

This course will build on the advanced airway management techniques introduced in PARA 2100 and recognized in the Advanced Care Paramedic's scope of practice. The student will study and practice advanced diagnostic skills, therapies, and interventions, including blood gas analysis, arterial blood samples, CPAP and BiPAP, endotracheal intubation, surgical airways, alternate medication routes, and mechanical ventilation.
