Course Description

In this course, students revisit items related to professionalism and professional practice. There will be readings on cultural literacy, health promotion and injury prevention. Students are expected to integrate and apply knowledge from previous courses in order to formulate and implement treatment plans for pediatric and geriatric patients, for individuals with diverse medical needs, and for patients with conditions impacting physical and cognitive abilities. Other units include wilderness survival, environmental emergencies, aeromedical emergencies, MCI and Triage, CBRNE and practicum orientation.
