Course Description

Play is essential to children's development in all areas. It forms the foundation of intellectual, social, physical and emotional skills necessary for life.
This course focuses on the links among play, the learning environment, child development, brain research, cultural priorities and learning theory.
Students will gain knowledge and professional practice as they learn how to plan effectively for play, evaluate experiences and develop play environments that promote children's ability to think for themselves and achieve their goals.
