Course Description

Edition 3.0 - Newly revised, this course introduces the types of equipment found in a typical power/heating plant, as well as the main types of plants and their basic operation. The importance of safe operational procedures and proper maintenance is also emphasized as it relates to operational needs and extended equipment life. Additionally, this course introduces topics such as refrigeration and HVAC. This course prepares students to write the Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA) 4th Class Part B Certification Exam.
