Course Description

This course surveys development in adolescence including physical, cognitive, social and emotional changes that occur during adolescence, using classic and contemporary research in the field. It explores individual aspects of development and the influence of social spheres of adolescence including peers, family, work, media, culture and community. Social and psychological issues that assume importance during adolescence are examined.
