Course Description

Designed for students whose major interests lie outside the sciences, the aim of this course is to increase the students' awareness of the role that mathematics plays in today's society. Emphasis is placed on the application of mathematics as a tool for solving real-life problems in the areas of social choice, management science, growth and finance, and statistics and probability.
