Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC)

What is CAEC? The Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) provides a high-quality, Canadian education credential to replace the GED®.
Who Qualifies as a Candidate? Adults without a High School Diploma seeking to earn a credential to open new doors to educational and employment opportunities.
The Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) exams measure your skills and abilities in the following five areas:
Candidates can re-write any subject test at any CAEC Testing Centre a minimum of 1 calendar month apart and a maximum of 3 times per calendar year.

Registration and full payment of fees are required 2 days prior to the selected test date. Testing may be cancelled due to inclement weather or other extenuating circumstances, at which time the cost of registration will be refunded.
Two forms of valid ID are required to write the test.
