Salary Range: $58,764 to $77,748 per year

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Clean Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Assets:

  • Experience teaching children and / or adults
  • Experience with the Alberta K to 12 curriculum

Major Job Function:

Reporting to the Vice President, Academic, this position is responsible for the day to day operations of the Cultural Arts Museum at Northern Lakes College, Grouard. This includes management of the collection, and the development and offering of programming for school aged children. Organizing and hosting museum tours is also a component of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Museum Administrator is responsible for the following:

  • Museum administration
  • Program development
  • Collections management
  • Gift shop administration
  • Research
  • Public relations
  • Staff and volunteer support
  • Media relations
  • Special event coordination
  • Library / Archive management

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Clean Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Assets:

  • Experience teaching children and / or adults
  • Experience with the Alberta K to 12 curriculum

  • Develop and implement educational programs for children
  • Interpersonal communication skills (e.g. speaking to groups, chairing meetings, presentations)
