Chair, International and Dual Credit
Salary: $100,024 to $129,026 per year

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field, with preference given to a master’s degree in related field.
- 3–5 years of administrative experience in post-secondary or related sectors.
- Experience with international student services and/or dual credit programming preferred.
- Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) or RCIC designation preferred.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Clean criminal record check.
Nature and Scope of Work
Reporting to the Dean, Student Success & Registrar, this leadership role integrates internationalization and dual credit recruitment strategies to support Northern Lakes College’s mission. The Chair will oversee international student services, immigration advising, dual credit programming, and recruitment initiatives. Success in this role requires strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight to enhance student access, diversity, and success. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
International and Dual Credit Strategy
- Lead recruitment and retention efforts for international and dual credit students.
- Develop and maintain relationships with international agents, education organizations, school divisions, and departments internal to the College
- Serve as the Designated Learning Institute (DLI) officer for IRCC and provide immigration advising.
- Work with program areas to develop, expand, and administer dual credit programs in compliance with provincial regulations.
- Represent the College at international and regional events, and with government agencies, as approved. (e.g., CICan, CBIE).
Recruitment and Outreach
- Design and implement international and dual credit recruitment strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate and facilitate attendance to recruitment events, job fairs, and school visits.
- Coordinate skills camps, campus tours, and collaborate with marketing and program areas to develop promotional materials.
- Monitor and analyze recruitment trends and outcomes to inform strategy.
Budget and Project Management
- Develop and manage budgets for international, dual credit, and recruitment initiatives.
- Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and financial reports.
- Lead project planning and ensure timely execution of initiatives.
Institutional Collaboration and Representation
- Work with internal departments to align programming with student needs.
- Participate in regional advisory committees and provincial initiatives.
- Support professional development related to internationalization and recruitment.
- Serve as advisor to Deans’ Council on dual credit and international matters.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strategic planning and operational leadership, including envisioning and pragmatically assessing opportunities.
- Using data analytics to inform recruitment and retention strategies.
- Immigration advising and regulatory compliance.
- Budgeting, marketing, and public relations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Productive performance management that builds teams and capacity.
- Develop and implement systems that enhance cross-departmental efficiency and success.
- Maintain and nurture strong relationships across multiple departments to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Effective delegation and ability to optimize productivity.
- Problem solving, including investigation, critical thinking, and analysis.
- Familiarity with student information systems and data analysis is an asset.
- Experience with rural, northern, and Indigenous learners is an asset.
