Canadian Firearms Safety Course

Course Description

This course includes instruction on how to safely use, handle and store both firearms and ammunition. The Canadian Firearms Safety Course discusses the rules and regulations as well as the legal responsibilities and other duties required by firearm users and owners. Upon successful completion of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and exam, students are awarded with a course report indicating they passed and able to apply for their Non-Restricted PAL (Possession and Acquisition License.)

Important information about this course:
• Participants must provide government issued ID at the time of arrival.
• Participants must be 18 years old to be eligible to apply for the Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License.
• Participants ages 12 - 17 are able to apply for a Minor's Permit upon successful completion of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Tuition will be fully refunded when notice of withdrawal is given 7 days before the course start date. Withdrawals less than 7 days prior do not qualify for a refund. An Administrative fee of $25 will be charged for all transferred registrations. Transferred registrations do not qualify for refunds. Cancellation

Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee Payment

Fee Payment: Fees are due at the time of registration. Northern Lakes College accepts cash, cheque, money order, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express. Invoicing to a company requires a Purchase Order (PO).
