Course Description

The workshop outlines: filtration, theory, filter media, backwash management, filter maintenance and diagnostic techniques as well as operational problems and maintenance solutions. It also provides an introduction to filters, their purpose, construction, operational problems, corrective measures, improvements and repairs. The course consists of information so that operational staff will be able to provide effective filter maintenance and operational optimization. It will give the operators the required understanding and awareness to effectively operate and maintain their filters. They will be presented with material relevant to effectively operate the filters, and with explanation and examples of optimization and surveillance methods useful in operation and maintenance of filters.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Tuition will be fully refunded when notice of withdrawal is given 7 days before the course start date. If you are unable to attend your course, you may arrange for someone to take your place by contacting Continuing Education & Corporate Training at work@northernlakescollege.ca or 780-849-8623

Cancellation

Northern Lakes College reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel a course that lacks sufficient registrations to provide a satisfactory learning atmosphere. In this event your registration fee will be refunded in full or applied to the re-scheduled course.

Fee Payment: Fees are due at the time of registration. Northern Lakes College accepts cash, cheque, money order, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express. Invoicing to a company requires a Purchase Order (PO).
