Course Description

This nursing foundations course prepares the learner for the transition from a learner to graduate practical nurse. The course explores working within the parameters of a health care organization, labour relations, and the professional association. The learner will learn ways to empower and motivate and ways to build successful teams. Learners will explore other topics important to this profession, such as types of management, leadership styles, professional development, continued competence, lifelong learning, and quality improvement. This course was formerly known as NFDN 2008.
