Course Description

Inclusion of children with special needs into many regular classrooms has created the need for special training of educational assistants and early childhood educators. This second exceptionalities course will expand on concepts, skills, and strategies working with children with exeptionalities. Teaching/learning strategies and interventions, assistive technology, etiology, along with the effects of medications on behaviour and learning will be presented.
