Program Overview

Do you enjoy doing hands-on work, such as installing, altering, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems? Would you like to get involved in a trades career? Electricians specialize in specific types of installations, such as residential (housing developments), commercial (office buildings), institutional (hospitals), and industrial (plants and factories).

Further Educational Opportunities for the Electrical Apprenticeship Program are: First Period, Second Period, Third Period, and Fourth Period. Journeyperson Electricians can become Master Electricians. Electricians often take further training to gain additional expertise in variable frequency drives, code upgrades, cathodic protection, and alternative energy installation. This dynamic and continually changing trade often requires updating.
