If you're interested in motorcycles and want to explore a career in a high demand trade, a Pre Employment Motorcycle Mechanic Program could be the perfect first step.
This pre employment program is designed to help you build a strong foundation in motorcycle maintenance and repair before entering the Alberta Apprenticeship system. Through practical shop experience and essential theory, you will develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue work in the industry and prepare to challenge the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) First Period theory and practical exams.
With guidance from experienced motorcycle mechanics and hands-on learning opportunities, this program can help launch your career in motorcycle maintenance, repair, and restoration-as well as work with other lightweight, multi wheeled, and all terrain vehicles.

Program Delivery

Traditional classroom setting with shop and lab practical applications and demonstrations. Work-integrated learning, Workplace Communications and Industrial Safety Certifications are new components of this program.

If academic requirements are not met, you will need to do an ACCUPLACER assessment. Contact your local campus to schedule an appointment. Pre-Employment students are NOT required to be registered with AIT.

Minimum Requirement: English 20-2, Math 20-3 and science 10 or all five Canadian General Educational Development Tests (GED) or AIT Entrance Exam, or a passing mark in the Canadian Adult Education Certificate (CAEC). Category A: RECOMMENDED PATH: Alberta High School Diploma with: • English 30-2. • Math 30-3. • Physics 20 or Chemistry 20 or Biology 20 or Science 20.
