Course Description

In this course, students have the opportunity to read and investigate for themselves the role of the Professional Land Surveyor in societies. Primarily, the course focuses on the study of real property law, parcel boundaries, land registration and other official surveys such as those performed on the Canadian Territories, Federal parks and Aboriginal reserves. By the end of this course, among other concepts, students have a solid understanding of different ways of owning property under the English common law, solve practical boundary retracement problems and be able to read and do calculations with legal plans.
