Steamfitter/Pipefitter - Apprenticeship Period 1

Program Overview

Pipe Trades opens the door to a variety of trades, including Gasfitter, Plumber, Sprinkler Systems Installer, and Steamfitter-Pipefitter. The program will give you the skills and theory you need to succeed when you write the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training theory and practical exams. Plumber's plan, install, and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls. Steamfitter-Pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other processes. Sprinkler Systems Installers fabricate, install, test, maintain, inspect, and repair sprinkler systems in a variety of settings. Gasfitters size, install, test, adjust, and service natural gas and propane equipment ranging from residential furnaces to industrial boilers.
