Sparks of Honour: The Gregory Myron Podulsky Memorial Bursary

Instructions

  1. This award is open to Apprenticeship Trades program students: Carpentry, Electrician, or Welder
  2. You must reside within the Northern Lakes College designated service region
  3. You must include a short written statement of up to 500 words answering the following questions:
    • Why is a workplace health and safety program important?
    • What is every person's health and safety responsibility on a worksite?
  4. Please review all fields for accuracy and completion before submitting the application
  5. Incomplete applications will not be considered for awarding

AWARD INFORMATION

Award:  $3,300 (3)

Criteria:

  • Awarded to students in Carpentry, Electrical, or Welder Apprenticeship Trades
  • Student must be a resident of the NLC region.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Extra consideration will be given to Indigenous students.
  • In good academic standing.
  • Submit a short essay (up to 500 words) responding to the following questions: 
  1.  Why is a workplace health and safety program important?                               
  2. What is every person's health and safety responsibility on a worksite?

Deadline for application is June 30 of the academic year.

Please note that it is the applicant’s responsibility to make sure that the required documentation is submitted for consideration.
