Course Description

In this course, students will gain an understanding of the principles and policies relating to employment, particularly within Alberta. Topics include: contract law, collective agreements, occupational health and safety legislation, workers' compensation legislation, FOIP compliance and reporting, resignation and retirement, dismissal with cause, dismissal without cause, and wrongful dismissal.
