Details
Add to cartThe Experience and Equivalency Program is a condensed 40-hour version of the Core Learning program, covering all eight curriculum modules. Drivers without a "Q" endorsement must also complete an extra 8 hours of air brake training.
After completing the Experience and Equivalency Program, drivers can take the Class 1 knowledge and road tests to earn a provincially restricted Class 1 licence. With this licence, they may begin working as commercial drivers within Alberta. To remove the restriction and drive outside the province, they must complete the Competence Building Program. Additional training is recommended if they don't pass the test on the first try.
The program is delivered by Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors in collaboration with licensed driver training schools across the province.
